Wildflower Impressions: A Nature & Art Retreat

Lotus View Ranch
Sunday, April 27th
1:00 - 4:00
Cost - $75
Registration Closes Wednesday, April 23rd
Limit = 24 Participants

Join us for a creative spring day at our private wooded 1000 acre ranch and nature preserve in the Sierra Foothills, surrounded by wildflowers and natural beauty.

Our day will begin with a guided lesson on how to draw and paint wildflowers with watercolor, helping you capture their delicate forms with ease. We will then head out for a nature hike where we will get a chance to enjoy spring in its full glory while we gather leaves, flowers, and other natural elements to use in your artwork. Along the way, you can stop to sketch a wildflower or collect a few to draw later.

After our hike, we will learn how to create beautiful impressions on cards and canvas bags, preserving the textures and shapes of the natural world. You can also incorporate your newly learned flower-drawing skills onto your cards and bring them to life with your handmade watercolor set, which will be provided to you to use and keep.
To complete the experience, you’ll learn how to use a wax seal to add a special, nature-inspired touch to your cards.

Highlights of the day include:
•    A quick guided lesson on how to draw wildflowers.
•    A scenic hike to gather leaves, flowers, and inspiration.
•    Creating nature impressions on cards and a canvas bag.
•    Adding hand-drawn flowers and watercolors with your watercolor set (provided).
•    Learning how to use a wax seal for added artistry (yours to keep!).
•    Afternoon tea and snack

•    Registration includes an art kit to take home (water colors, brush, stationary, canvas bag, wax stamp)

Please bring comfortable hiking shoes & some clippers!

Immerse yourself in creativity and nature, and let the beauty of spring inspire your artistic journey!
